The Hotel Ruta del Mulhacen
Rural Hostal (**) Ruta del Mulhacen has close its doors to open very soon as an Alpujarrenean Interpretation Centre of Gastronomy. With restaurant, tapas and ludic activities concerning the local cuisine.
We would like to express our gratitude to our friends and clients that have chosen us and visited us during these 35 years and we hope to invite you very soon to try the delicious food elaborated with tasty home-grown products and to participate in the activities we will organise for the conservation, for the utilisation and for the divulgation of the Alpujarrenean uses and customs
The hotel is situated at the entrance of the village. Easy to acces and very close to the center of the town, "Libertad" square, with various restaurants, shops and workshops. There is located the Tourist Office Information Center of the National Park.
We are situated on the south face of Sierra Nevada, at 1050 meters altitude. In winter its snows and the villages and mountains get covered in white.
On the low floor of the hotel there is a handicraft, clothes and complements shop, where you can find quality alpujarrenian products.
Our atmosphere is unaffected and relaxing, trying to attend the necessities of our clients the best we possible can.
From our terraces is possible to enjoy our good views of the village and the small valley of the Poqueira gorge.

We are situated on the route that goes through the high Alpujarra of Granada.
Coming up from Orgiva, taking a curve from the road you will soon notice you are entering the Poqueira Gorge.
From the beginning it's narrow with steep mountainsides. You will see the villages lifted on height.
The first one it's ours: Pampaneira.
The road crosses the river and starts to climb, and between turn and turn you will get to Pampaneira. You'll see our sign just at the beginning of the town, close to the bus stop.
